In the anniversary of same-sex marriage in Taiwan, three couples show us the importance of keep fighting in the documentary “Taiwan Equals Love”

On May 24, 2019, Taiwan became the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage. To commemorate the one-year anniversary of this milestone, streaming platform GagaOOLala is releasing a three-years-in-the-making documentary, Taiwan Equals Love (Yan Zhexuan, 2020), that chronicles the local LGBTQ+ community fight for this landmark achievement.
